Ginger? AND Nuts? In the same biscuit?

I'm sick to death of the over-repetitive comedy of Bolton's own Peter effing Kay.

I personally LOVED "Phoenix Nights", and although I could see a correlation in that and his stand-up material, it was all used in  appropriate context, and delivered to perfection by an excellent cast. Nothing wrong with that at all in my eyes.  But I then saw "That Peter Kay Thing." Wait a minute? Same material? Okay, we'll forgive that. It was his first TV work, and wasn't well known at the time, so he's brought the material to the public again, in a more popular jacket.

Next came "Max & Paddy's Road to Nowhere." This should have been called "Max and Paddy's Phoenix Nights Thing." No new material, whatsoever.  Same repetitive stuff,  now with 3 generations of stale. Bonza. The theme tune was the one redeeming feature. I'm not going to mention the cack-fest that was I'm a Celebrity on Ice Blah blah effing blah.

And what of his stand-up?  We have now seen the release of 5 Peter Kay Stand-Up DVD's for 5 consecutive Christmases.  Let's review them.

1. Peter Kay - Live at the Top of the Tower.
Can't fault this.  Easily his finest work, and actually the origin of a lot of jokes in his two earliest TV ventures.  We will forgive him for giving the world the uber-irretating "It's SPITTING!" and "GARLIC BREAD?"

2. Peter Kay at Bolton Albert Halls.
Same material as above, only he'd done this on the script:

Photobucket

3. Peter Kay - The Live Collection
Both of the above, in the same box!!!!!!!11111oneoneoneonejuanjuanjuan

4. Peter Kay - Live at the MEN
Same as above. EXACTLY THE SAME SHOW! Just recorded on a different night at a different location. An obvious attempt to cash in on the elderly relative buying christmas presents market. Oooo, Billy loves Peter Kay, I'll get him that! SCREW YOU GRANDMA!

5. Peter Kay - Special Kay
A "Compilation show" of all the above. *claps slowly*

He's more of a marketing genius than he is a one-trick pony, and that's saying something.  If you haven't got any more material Pete, just admit it! It's ok.  We can't hate you any more than we already do!

Add to all this that fact that the bloke is an arse, refusing to sign an autograph for a child with Downs Syndrome ooozes class, and I think he should be mentioned in the same sentence as Hitler for ever now.

Perhaps you should go back to selling your "Mach 3 blades" at the carboot's Peter Kay.

HITLER!

UPDATE! As I'm sat here typing this, he's on Radio 2 in the guise of Gerldine McQueen, singing his Christmas song. FECK OFF YOU SHITHEAD! You've sullied Radio 2 of all things
